Edge Lane West Highway and
Environmental Improvement Scheme

Traffic management commences
Monday 14th March 2011

Changes to traffic management, to allow road improvements to be carried out, will begin on Monday 14th March 2011. The restrictions will apply between Botanic Place and Hall Lane and will be in place for 12 months.

During this time, two lanes will be maintained inbound to the city during weekday morning peak periods (07:00 to 09:30 hours). At all other times, and throughout the day in the outbound direction (including evening peak periods), a single traffic lane will be provided.

Visitors to Wilson Henry are advised that although the traffic will be very slow going past our office, there will be no changes to your ability to enter or leave our car park in any direction. You may however be invited to park at the rear of our buidling in our second car park, if the front, with its reduced spaces, is full. If you have any questions or doubts about travelling to us by car during this period, please call us on 0151 264 8888 for a chat about the current situation.

Drivers are encouraged to find alternative routes, especially at peak times. This scheme will complete the upgrading of the Edge Lane corridor, the strategic link between the end of the M62 Motorway (at the Rocket Junction) and the city centre and will complete the modern two-lane dual carriageway entrance to the city.
